We stayed at Hengifosslodge Skaldahus for one night during our road trip. The location was convenient and easily accessible from the road, with beautiful nature and views surrounding the lodge. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly friendly, offering helpful tips and even cooking our frozen food for us. The Swiss cottage style and fully equipped kitchen added a homey touch to our stay. We also appreciated the free tea candles and information about the area and activities. a great experience!

We had a wonderful experience at Hengifosslodge. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, even though we arrived late at night. They took the time to ask us about our trip and offered helpful tips for our journey. They even went above and beyond by upgrading our room and cooking our frozen food for us. The Swiss cottage style of the accommodation felt like home, and the fully equipped kitchen was a bonus. We also appreciated the flyers about the area and things to do, as well as the cozy ambiance with tea candles provided. The cleanliness and comfort of the room were exceptional, and the surrounding nature and views were absolutely stunning. if you're looking for a quiet stay in a unique Icelandic forest, Hengifosslodge is the perfect choice.

The apartment had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, creating a serene atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. having a private, well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals, which was a nice touch.
The noise from the top floor, as it was quite loud whenever someone walked around. The space overall was on the smaller side, including a cramped bathroom and tiny sinks.
